| PROFILE
GLP deals with Industrial Property since 1967 with offices in Udine, Milan, Perugia, Zurich and San Marino.
The Studio specialises in the protection of inventive ideas by means of filing and obtaining patents both in Italy and abroad; a further field of activity is the protection of models, designs and trade marks, again both in Italy and abroad.
The Studio regularly supplies technical and legal advice concerning the validity of patents (both invention and model patents) and that of third party trade marks. It also gives assistance with regard to problems of infringement and competition, to clients who are either plaintiffs or defendants, and also assists clients on matters of secrecy, and evaluates whether inventive ideas and trade marks can be protected.
The Studio provides assistance to clients with legal actions, whether the client be plaintiff or defendant, both in Italy and abroad, with technical and legal advice and with regard to actions of infringement, unfair competition and the theft of industrial secrets.
At present the Studio relies on 45 people, who are able to manage autonomously the tasks
with which they are entrusted and to carry them out to a high professional
standard, in accordance with their background, qualifications and
continual updating.
Each one of them is able to approach the problems with which he
has to deal from a global viewpoint, in such a way as to solve the
client's problems appropriately, quickly, completely, even those
problems which the client himself may not have seen, or not have
completely appreciated.
The Studio also makes use of an extensive and selected network of
extremely qualified correspondents which covers almost all the countries
of the world (450 correspondents in 130 countries). In association
with a similar, highly qualified and professional network in Italy
itself, we are thus able to supply a dynamic service, in Italy and
abroad, which sometimes is the only way to achieve or justify an
action or a reaction.
Moreover,
the Studio uses an accurate and well-tested network of information
sources, which is able to satisfy a superficial and deeper approach.
We have our own background of more than 20,000 cases dealt with,
covering practically every aspect of industrial law, applied to
both industry and commerce. We are therefore able to manage almost
every level of national and international problem, including those
relating to international conventions (European Patent, International
Trade-mark, International Model, Community Trade-mark).
The Studio has its own extremely well-supplied library, with more
than 8,000 books, including both technical and legal texts. The
contents of these technical and legal texts are regularly inserted
into the Studio's own computer system, which includes the use of
key words so as to speed up and optimise retrieval times.
The Studio is directly connected with various Data Banks (WPAT,
INPADOC, EPIDOS, etc.), in order to otain information on patents
and trade-marks. Moreover, we have at our disposal many foreign
publications containing the abstracts of US patents, PCT patents,
international trade-marks and international models. We are in possession
of the CDs containing the texts of the applications for the European
Patent, as well as more than 30,000 patent texts, on paper, from
all the industrialised world.
The Studio, through its employees, is associated to AISL, EPI, AIPPI, INTA, ECTA, AICCS, ASSOCIPI, FICPI, LES, INDICAM, SISPI, AIDB.
With a view to promote and make its field of competence
more accessible, our bureau writes some
booklets. The Studio promotes as well seminars, courses, and
training on the subject of industrial property inside the client
companies. |
